I have blogged a few times on the subject of catching up with old friends. This time it’s our friends Neil and Lisa who unexpectedly invited us to join them for a weekend away.
Neil and Lisa are a lovely couple I knew for a while before I met Rachel. They figured in our early days and even came to our wedding. They are Christians and genuinely live out their faith which shows in a number of different ways. Amongst these different ways are their generosity, hospitality, thoughtfulness towards others and their kindness.
Perhaps we all need someone in our lives who we admire and look up to, to be a good example for us and shine a light on the way ahead. Certainly Neil and Lisa are like that and we could do a lot worse!
