Moving through life's seasons
Again lots happening, just the way I like it. We have of course had the general election and I assisted with counting the votes yet again. We also had a little Christmas with Becky and David joining us for the weekend. Hannah was home from college and we all wore silly hats.
“I missed your blog!” said Anthony. I quickly explained we have had my mother come to stay for a few days and being the dutiful son, I had neglected my blog. Rest assured, we still have a few things going on.
I bet you’re intrigued at the title of this weekly update – from Urology. Well, I had a 6 month check up at the Urology Department in the hospital, to make sure the plumbing is all ticketety-boo. I think it’s as good as it is going to get but time will tell.
I have blogged before about the importance of friendships and no matter how difficult it becomes, I am working on keeping some of these friendships alive. The latest is a cycle ride in the Cotswolds and keeping our tradition alive….
Now I’m just creeping into year two with my blog, thought a little update and reflection would be about right. It has been a personal blog through an incredibly happy time, including my journey to early retirement and trying to stay on top of some health issues.
It was about a year ago, my life unexpectedly changed. I remember having a day off work for what I thought was a routine hospital appointment which would probably lead nowhere at all. Instead life took an unexpected turn.
On Tuesday I had another appointment at Urology, in our local hospital. Turns out my case is well known in the team there! The staff recognise me now and this is how it went…..
